The UFC star Connor McGregor is notorious for his trash-talk on social media as well as in real life. Now the Irishman has engaged in a heated war of words with Roman Reigns’ wiseman Paul Heyman.
The UFC Megastar has criticized WWE in the past. After UFC’s parent company, Endeavor acquired WWE in a recently completed merger, Connor McGregor posted an edited picture of himself with the UFC Championship and WWE Championship. This prompted Roman Reigns’ manager, Paul Heyman to come out and accuse Connor of being a Roman Reigns “wannabee”. And this started a heated war of words between the faces of the two companies.
Connor McGregor uploading a picture of himself holding both championships hinted at his potential debut in WWE. Upon seeing the picture, Heyman called The Notorious One a Roman Reigns “wannabee”. Responding to Heyman’s tweet, McGregor threatened to show up and break his jaw in 3 pieces.
McGregor once even called Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman “wannabees” when a report came out that Reigns would hold his title till September 2024. He later deleted the tweet. He had also added that he would “suplex Paul Heyman on-site”.
Connor McGregor once held 2 titles simultaneously in UFC. He called Reigns his wannabee and challenged him to a match at SummerSlam. Reigns and Connor do have some amount of history on Twitter. Back in 2016, Connor tweeted that he would slap the head off of WWE’s entire roster. Reigns responded by telling him to shut up as Connor was only the size of his leg.
Roman Reigns set to achieve a huge milestone at Night of Champions
