WWE superstar, Matt Riddle returned to action in the the latest edition of Monday Night RAW. Riddle has always been a comic relief, and before his absence, he was a part of a team called RK-Bro with The Viper, Randy Orton.
The unlikely pair of Riddle and Orton seemed random at first, but the pair had really good chemistry and charmed the whole WWE Universe with their segments and in-ring performance. However, due to an injury suffered by both superstars, they had to take a break from WWE. But with Matt Riddle returning to in-ring competition this week, let’s take a look at one of their most hilarious backstage segments.
Randy Orton isn’t new to having teammates. In fact, this is The Viper’s 6th team. The duo got together after a series of matches following WrestleMania 37. They quickly rose to popularity and won the Tag Team Championships after defeating AJ Styles and Omos.
WWE’s Twitter account shared a clip of one of RK-Bro’s most hilarious moments. Backstage, Randy Orton asks Riddle what he has done. As cameras turned towards Riddle, we see that he got the exact same facial hair as The Viper. To top it off, Riddle said that he was busy doing some “Viper stuff”.
This was a pretty hilarious moment from the duo. The dynamic between the two feels somewhat like a Father-Son relationship, where Riddle does goofy things every week to make Randy Orton laugh. Matt Riddle’s childish demeanors is what endears him so much to the fans.
Matt Riddle on working with The Viper
Matt Riddle spoke with DC & RC where he opened up on how he loved working with Randy Orton:
“Yeah. You know, it definitely does [the opportunity to get back to being a singles talent shows he’s more than an attachment to Randy Orton]. Don’t get me wrong, with Randy, I had opportunities with Roman [Reigns], stuff like that, especially when Randy was gone. But, I think at the end of the day, that story with Randy, I enjoyed it and I felt like I got to build a relationship and a reputation with the WWE”.
Randy Orton and Matt Riddle have been both out of action due to an injury. The Viper has been off from WWE Television since last year. It’s unclear as to when he will return, with some reports suggesting that he’s nowhere close to making his return. Matt Riddle on the other hand, is returning to singles competition this week. Stay tuned to find out what The Chipper is up to this week.
