WrestleMania is hailed as the greatest event of WWE. This year’s Showcase Of The Immortals is centered around the theme of Hollywood, with the tagline being “WrestleMania Goes Hollywood”.
WrestleMania 39 has some pretty high expectations after last year’s edition of the blockbuster event saw Roman Reigns winning and unifying both of the company’s world championships, Cody Rhodes making his grand return to the company after leaving AEW, but most importantly, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin making his much-awaited return to the ring after 20 years. With the hype for this year’s edition of the April Extravaganza going through the roof, here’s everything you need to know about WrestleMania 39:
When does WrestleMania 39 start?
WWE WrestleMania 39 is set to take place on Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2. Since 2020, WWE has made the decision to split The Showcase Of the Immortals into two nights. The reason was that previously, the show would run for too long for the fans to enjoy the show, sometimes extending over 5 hours. This decision has benefited WWE in many ways, as fans get to enjoy two nights of WrestleMania and don’t have to sit for over 5 hours for an event.
As always, this year’s WrestleMania will begin at 8 PM EST. There will also be a pre-show on YouTube which starts at 7 PM EST.
Where is WrestleMania 39 taking place?
Both nights of WrestleMania 39 are taking place at SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California. The stadium was supposed to host WrestleMania 39, but due to Covid-19, WWE had to relocate.
The last time WrestleMania took place in California was when Roman Reigns’ main event was the show against The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar. The show was even more memorable due to Seth Rollins cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase and pinning Roman Reigns to win the championship.
