On this week’s Friday Night SmackDown, the WWE Draft returned after one-year hiatus. This is certainly the most exciting event in WWE TV.
Last night’s SmackDown saw the first night of the draft, which shook things up for good. It shuffled several superstars from all 3 brands of WWE. Aside from that, the Tag Team gold was also put on the line this week. Read on to get the full results from the 28th April episode of SmackDown.
Round One of WWE Draft; Tag Team Championship match announced
The show kicked off with Triple H announcing the first four picks for RAW and SmackDown. The very first pick of SmackDown was Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman. This segment eventually led to The Usos coming out and demanding a WrestleMania 39 rematch for the Tag Team Championships. Yet another segment then took place between The Usos and Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens. Their match was made official for the main event for the night. As for the draft, below given are the results of round one:
Round 1 Results
- SmackDown: Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman(The Bloodline)
- RAW: Cody Rhodes
- SmackDown: RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair
- RAW: Becky Lynch
Butch vs LA Knight
LA Knight was looking to end his losing streak and turn things around for once. And tonight, he did just that.
It was earlier announced that Knight would go up against The Brawling Brutes member, Butch. The match ended with Knight scoring a clean victory over Butch, with the fans celebrating his first win in months.
Round Two of WWE Draft; Street Profits make their debut match
In the round 2 of the draft, SmackDown chose Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, aka The Street Profits. And the dynamic duo looked to create an impression on the blue brand in their first night by scoring a huge victory.
A Triple Threat match was announced beforehand between The Street Profits, LWO and Braun Strowman & Ricochet. And the match concluded with Dawkins and Ford picking up a huge victory in their very first night.

Round Three of WWE Draft; Zelina Vega vs Sonya Deville
SmackDown kicked off the third round of the draft by picking Bobby Lashley. The All-Mighty definitely needed a new start. He can once again get into the title picture by challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal or WWE Championship.
We also got to see a match between Sonya Deville and Zelina Vega, who has the biggest match of her career at Backlash, where she challenged Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. It was an excellent showing for Zelina Vega as she defeated Sonya Deville in their match. If she wants to become the champ, Vega sure has a big obstacle in front of her, and that is Rhea Ripley.

- SmackDown: AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson with Michin(The OC)

Round 4 of WWE Draft; The OC sends a message
In the final round of the draft, The OC, consisting of AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Michin. And within a few moments of being drafted, The OC appeared on the blue brand and established their dominance by laying out The Viking Raiders. AJ Styles returned from an injury to once again, complete the stable.

- RAW: Shinsuke Nakamura
- SmackDown: Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn
- RAW: Indi Hartwell
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship: Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs The Usos
In the main event of SmackDown, The Usos looked to take back their tag team title gold. However, after a short distraction from Solo Sikoa, who tried to interfere but got attacked by Matt Riddle instead, The Usos lost.
