With WrestleMania 39 in the rearview mirror, fans are already looking forward to the next edition of The Show of Shows. And it seems like WWE has already found a potential city to host WrestleMania in 2025.
While it’s still 2 years away, sources are reporting that Minneapolis Minnesota is the finalist city to host WrestleMania 41. It has been rumoured multiple times in the past that the city would host The April Extravaganza. Evidently, it hasn’t happened yet. So why will things be any different in 2025?
According to Fightful Select‘s Sean Ross Sapp, as of now, WWE has no place planned to host WrestleMania in 2025. However, he has heard from multiple sources that Minneapolis is interested in hosting the mega event. They apparently also sent some reps to this year’s WrestleMania to check out how things went with the event.
If that’s the case, then Minneapolis might be looking to strike a deal with WWE soon. And it might even become possible since WWE views the U.S. Banks Stadium as a “world-class venue”.
It was also reported by Wrestle Ops on Twitter that Minneapolis Minnesota is a finalist city for WrestleMania 41 in 2025. However, nothing can be said at the moment. It is doubtful that WWE will reveal anything regarding an event that is almost 2 years away. But fans continue to be hopeful that it will end up being the host of The Showcase of Immortals in 2025. It is also to be noted that Minneapolis Minnesota is the hometown of Brock Lesnar. Some even said that it’d be fitting to have The Beast finally retire from his long career of wrestling in his own hometown. It might be a fitting end to The Beast’s legacy.
Is WWE planning a rematch between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40?
The Tribal Chief and The American Nightmare faced off at the main event of WrestleMania 39. The match saw Cody Rhodes give it his all to win the title, but he came up short at the end.
While it’s just a fantasy booking by fans at the moment, WrestleVotes recently reported that the idea of a Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes rematch is currently “on the table”. This would mean Roman Reigns would continue to be the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for another year. Fans are already tired of The Tribal Chief’s dominant run as the face of the company. This might lead to Cody finally dethroning Roman at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
But these things are always subject to change. We will have to wait and see if the match does end up happening.
