Last week on RAW, Dexter Lumis started his hunt for a new WWE contract. And his hunt came to an end in the latest edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, where he got a chance to settle his score with The Miz, while also getting an opportunity at a new WWE contract, two birds with a single arrow.
The feud was long overdue. It was not anymore a battle for the contract, but Dexter’s chance at getting his revenge on The Miz. Trickster, Miz had fooled Dexter into playing along with his sympathy act in exchange for some cash. But Miz being what he is famed for, a trickster, refused to pay up Dexter Lumis and ran away.
Accumulating his anger for several months, Dexter finally got a chance for settling the score with Miz. In 28th November’s Monday night Raw matchup, Dexter Lumis had nothing to lose but a WWE contract and his pending payment from Miz to win.
Before the match, we saw The Miz with a cash bag in his hand, but there was a catch, The Miz started acting and said that he has an injury to his hand and cannot fight until he recovers fully.
WWE official Adam Pearce has had enough of Miz’s tricks and was not buying it this time. He came out to the public and forced this matchup on Miz, knowing that he was straight-up lying to avoid the match.
Dexter Lumis defeats The Miz and earns his WWE contract
As soon as the match started, Dexter Lumis had the upper hand and soon enough, he forced The Miz into submission and Miz tapped out, losing all the money he brought in the bag.
Dexter Lumis collected the bag of money and also signed the contract that was presented to him by the WWE official present at the scene, Adam Pearce.
Dexter Lumis won even more hearts when he gave up all of his hard-earned money and spread it among the audience while The Miz watched his money go away from his sight.
