Fourteen times World Champion Randy Orton has been out of in-ring action for around a year now. The fans are eagerly waiting for his arrival in the ring and want to see him fight. Good News, Former WWE Champion Kurt Angle has given a positive update regarding The Viper’s comeback.
The 43-year-old superstar has been out of the ring due to an injury that he sustained in his last match almost a year ago. The Viper was diagnosed with a serious back injury. He had to undergo spinal fusion and was in a recovery period for the coming year.
However, WWE Hall of Famer comes in with great news for Randy Orton fans as he suggests his comeback is near. Kurt Angle was on his podcast recently where he shared this news and some other WWE secret stuff.
On his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, former champion shared his thoughts on Randy Orton and his current status. Kurt says, “Doing good man. He (Randy Orton) recovered from his back surgery. I think he’s gonna come back pretty damn soon. He’s doing much better.”
It surely gives us assurance about his comeback. However, since there is no official statement from either WWE or Randy himself, we can’t know for sure. Although, we can just hope for doctors to give him the green flag to wrestle as fast as they can.
WWE veterans praise Randy Orton on his work as The Viper
On his latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, he discussed Randy’s work in 2006. He believes that his work on “The Viper” character was really astonishing and he picked up on wrestling pretty fast. Kurt believes that him being a 3rd gen wrestler surely came with an advantage.
He says, “He(Randy Orton) was almost as good as he is now back then(in 2006).” He also added, “He was tall and thin and slender and he he moved around like a snake and his nickname was the Viper. It was a great character for him and it really it really put him over the top.”
This is not the first time when a WWE veteran is praising Randy. His work as a wrestler has reached millions of people’s hearts. The likes of Edge also can’t stop themselves from commending Randy Orton.
Former WWE Champ Edge also praised Randy by saying that he is one of the most hard-working and talented individuals in the industry. He says, ” You talk to any veteran of this industry, they’re always gonna name-check Randy Orton.”
