The Council of Fashion Designers in America Awards(CFDA) chose Serena Williams as their fashion icon for 2023. This is the first account of when an athlete was chosen for the award.
The Council of Fashion Designers in America has been awarding the icons based on their career in the realms of modeling factory or the film academy but November 7th had been a record-breaking event for them. Them bequeathing the famous tennis player the title of CFDA Fashion icon was a groundbreaking event for the whole industrial generation.
Some of the previous awardees include celebrity names like Zendaya, Beyonce, and Rihanna. Beyonce and Rihanna are international singers while Zendaya is one of the most renowned female actors in the world.
Serena Williams, the most loved and popular icon of the tennis world now becomes the icon for the fashion world as well. The grace that the 23-time Grand Slam champion had on the red carpet provided her glory and valor as we see her on the court.
She was presented with the award by none other than Kim Kardashian. Kim is one of the greatest models and a fashionista herself. After receiving the reward, Serena posed along with the Kardashian on the stage of the American Museum of Natural History.
