Popular British TV host and personality Piers Morgan blasted Tennis superstar Emma Raducanu and also gave her some advice regarding her involvement in the recent “woke” advertisement released by the banking firm HSBC, which also is one of Emma’s sponsors where she is seen narrating reworked iconic classic fairy tails while also sharing her thoughts on the reworked stories.
Piers stated that he became a fan of the female tennis superstar after she won the US Open in the year 2021 as he saluted the star for her achievement of winning the Grand Slam as a young teenager. Yet, he has criticized the tennis superstar because of her involvement in the advertising that was made to “irritate” him.
For the advertisement, the bank hired an author to rewrite some of the iconic classic fairy tales like Cinderella Sleeping Beauty, and Rapunzel and to give the stories a fresh approach. In the advertisement, Cinderella is a successful businesswoman who designs her own sports shoe, and Rapunzel becomes a property mogul by renting out her tower and Sleeping Beauty becomes rich from interest earned during her 100-year-long sleep.

Raducanu stated in the extended story posted on HSBC’s social media platforms that the message from the stories is that “women don’t need men to succeed in life.”
Emma further explained,
“Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Rapunzel are all successful young women,”
“They have used their brains, imagination, and good sense to earn enough money to look after themselves without a Prince Charming in sight.
“What a great story. So in the end, the princesses didn’t need a prince to save them.
“They set up their businesses, saved their money, and spent it very wisely,” said the tennis superstar.
Piers Morgan bashes Emma Raducanu for her ‘woke’ advertisement
Morgan swiftly implied that this was yet another instance of a “woke” corporate entity endorsing the concept of sidelining men from prominent positions. He also suggested that Emma “focus more on her tennis” and asserted that Raducanu may have made an ill-advised decision by joining the campaign.
Morgan talked about the advertisement and Emma reducing on his talk show and said,
“Of course, we all know, that the best way to improve the aspirations of women is by trashing men. As Emma said, women don’t need men at all.
She certainly didn’t need men to get to where she is today… except for her father, who manages her career, and her five coaches who are all male. Then there is her agent Max Eisenbud who is very, very good at maximising her income… despite the fact he is a man.
And then in a final twist of this tale of virtue signaling treachery, it turns out the chairman, chief executive, and chief financial officer on HSBC’s board of directors are all men too. As a man, here are some words of advice for you Emma.
I think she’s great and when she won the US Open it was amazing, but she hasn’t won a shoebox since then. I think she’s spending too much time on this commercial stuff and not on the court. That’s my view as a man.
Take it or leave it,”
Morgan also stated on his social media account about Emma Raducanu’s involvement in the “woke” corporate advertisement.
