Although Liv Morgan wasn’t involved in many great storylines over the past few years, her career has been on a roll ever since she won the Money In The Bank.
Liv Morgan signed with WWE in 2014 and after spending almost 3 years in NXT, she made her main roster debut in 2017 as a part of the faction, The Riott Squad alongside Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan. The stable later disbanded in 2019. It reformed again, this time with Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan as a duo. They continued to be a team until 2021 following Ruby Riott’s release. To this point, Morgan wasn’t really involved in anything major. Even after she became a singles competitor, the 28-year-old didn’t find much success in the ring till 2022.
In 2022, Liv Morgan was a part of the Money In The Bank ladder match featuring Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Raquel Rodriguez, and Shotzi. It was a fantastic match that saw Liv Morgan grab the Money In The Bank suitcase after a hard-hitting and grueling match. Morgan then went on to cash in the contract on SmackDown Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey after she defeated Natalya in another hard-hitting match. Morgan capitalized on the worn-out Rousey and rolled her up for the pinfall victory.
Since then, Liv Morgan’s career has only gotten better. In this year’s Royal Rumble, Morgan lasted for a whopping 60 minutes in the match. She also won the Women’s Tag Team title with Raquel Rodriguez a week ago.
Liv Morgan wins the Women’s Tag Team Championship
Last week on RAW, it was announced that Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus would defend their Women’s Tag titles against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. It was heavily rumored that Stratus would turn on Lynch last week, and it turned out that the rumors were true.
Liv Morgan surprisingly pinned the WWE Legend, Trish Stratus in their match to win the Tag Championship for her team. This was indeed a big upset, as Trish Stratus attacked Becky Lynch after the match. As for Morgan and Rodriguez, they are currently scheduled to face Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green next week on SmackDown for their Women’s tag titles. Stay tuned to find out if Morgan stuns the WWE Universe with another victory!
