Tennis stars Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, and Emma Raducanu are leading on the list of the most searched female athletes on Google.
The list also features other female athletes such as Alexia Putellas(Soccer), Alex Morgan (Soccer), Sam Kerr(Soccer), Simone Biles(Gymnastics), and so on.
With the rising craze in tennis no doubt the the top three searches have to be these three tennis players.
Iga Swiatek is a Polish professional tennis player. She has been ranked as world no 2 in women’s singles by the WTA, holding the position for 75 weeks. She is also a four-time major singles champion who won the French Open in 2020,2022 and 2023 and the US Open in 2022.
She has been searched by more than 15.6 million Google searches from September 2022 to August 2023 which puts her at the top of the popularity list. The Polish player has also won two grand slams at Roland Garros and Flushing Meadows last year which helped her to join the elite club of WTA players.
Cori Dionne aka Coco is an American professional tennis player who is just 19 years old and has one six WTA Tour singles titles including a major at the 2023 U S Open an 8 doubles title 5 partnering with Jessica Pegula and three with Catie McNally.
Coco Gauff sits in the second position with an amazing 10.1 million Google searches. She is currently world number three and has been making noise ever since her U.S. Open victory this year becoming the second youngest person after Serena Williams to win the title at the age of 19. Besides winning in New York she has clinched victories in Cincinnati and Washington adding to her total of six titles. She began playing tennis at the mere age of 6 and when she was seven her family moved back to Delray Beach to have better training opportunities she has worked with Gerard Loglo at the New Generation Tennis Academy starting from the age of 8.
The English youngster Emma Raducanu is currently third on the list with 9.6 million Google searches. During the 2021 US Open, the 20-year-old made her grand entrance. To earn a spot in the main draw she had to play three matches in the qualifying stage. She played against the odds and emerged as the victor of the US Open beating Layla Fernandez in the final. She made history as being the first British woman since 1968 to reach the US Open final. She is currently ranked number 10 by the WTA on 11 July 2022 and is a former British no 1. She is also the first British woman since Virginia Wade to win a Grand Slam.
She was born in Canada and was raised in Bromley, England. Her family moved to England when she was two years old and she holds both British and Canadian citizenship. She started playing at the age of five while also participating in various other sports and activities as a child like basketball, golf, karting, motocross, skiing horse riding, and ballet. She’s also a fan of Formula One and the football cup Tottenham Hotspur.
