Drew Mcintyre and Sheamus engaged in a heated war of words whilst the contract signing for the Intercontinental Championship triple threat match including Gunther which was held at the latest episode of Friday night SmackDown.
As WrestleMania is nearly a week away, weekly shows RAW and SmackDown are hyping up the most awaited event of this year as each week storylines are getting even more heated and tense. Same thing happened during the recent episode of SmackDown when it was scheduled that a contract signing will take place for the triple threat match between the Intercontinental Champion Gunther, Sheamus and Drew Mcintyre for the grandest show of them all.
Drew Mcintyre made his way to the ring and was about to be introduced but was interrupted by his long time friend and upcoming rival Sheamus and his teammates of the Brawling brutes. For so many weeks it can be seen that Sheamus is not happy about Drew getting a shot at the title as he wanted to face the champion alone which has surely grown a certain amount of hatred between the two buddies.
Sheamus recently also called Drew a backstabber and even tweeted about him in a negative way which made the Scottish psychopath even more vicious.This week on SmackDown things were almost same as bad blood between these two was easily seen when Drew claimed that according to the facts he has beaten Sheamus and he can beat Gunther too unlike him who was unable to defeat the Ring General for the championship.Things got even more heated before the Intercontinental Champion made his way to the ring and everyone signed the contract.
Right after the contract signing, Gunther was attacked by Brawling Brutes member Butch which turned into a match between formerly known superstars Walter and Pete Dunne. With such names on the card, the match itself delivered before being turned down into total chaos as Drew was seen aiming his Claymore Kick at Sheamus who avoided it and Gunther had to take the damage. With all the interference of the brawling brutes and Drew, Gunther took the W.
The triple threat match promises to be a banger as the amount of build up this match has been off the limits and it is one of the highly anticipated matches of this year’s Wrestlemania and it will be interesting to see who walks out as the Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania.
