The whole WWE universe is aware of Rey Mysterio’s affection for NASCAR. WWE shared a tweet that gave a glimpse of the angle they shot at the LA Coliseum. Where it was seen Rey Mysterio along with Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods were challenged by Dominik, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest for a NASCAR race.
Things escalated between the two teams when Rey Mysterio’s New Day managed to pull out a win against Dominik Mysterio’s Judgment Day. The whole team with Rey Mysterio was seen to be celebrating their victory when Dominik accuses his father of cheating and shoots his headgear at him, this led to a small fight between the two teams.
The actual reason for what went down the track is still said to be unknown, but WWE confirmed that the whole incident was shot and will be aired on The Smackdown Show.
The ‘sour’ father-son relationship between Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio
Everything went down between this father and son duo since Dominik Mysterio’s betrayal last year. Initially, Dominik accompanied his father and Edge for their match against The Judgement Day, which resulted in a great victory in their favor. However, the match dynamics changed when Dominik hit Edge with a low blow and announced his joining as a member of The Judgement Day. This kind of betrayal was not expected by Rey, which led to the origin of Dominik’s heel era.
After that, there were several occasions where Dominik tried to fight his dad, Rey avoided every single one, and even in the recent royal rumble Dominik attacked Rey backstage which didn’t due to which Rey was not able to enter the wrestling ring.
Netizens still believe that the fight between these two is inexorable, it is believed that the father-and-son duo will face each other in the wrestling ring in the upcoming WrestleMania 39.
Following this family feud, everyone is super excited to see what WWE has to show them in the upcoming Smackdown show.
