AEW’s Britt Baker appears to be a huge fan of “The Queen of WWE” and she expressed that she wants to face Charlotte Flair in a match someday.
Britt Baker has been a huge asset for AEW since her debut in the company. She has given some fabulous matches and over-the-top promos which made her a true star of the company.
Though Britt has achieved a lot of success in the world of professional wrestling, she has never been to WWE for a long time. Britt has made appearances on TV for WWE but wasn’t given much recognition and fame. She went out to prove her worth and AEW became her platform to showcase her skills.
Former AEW Women’s champion was on the ‘My Love Letter to Wrestling’ podcast with Mark Andrews. On asked about her dream matches outside AEW, Baker mentioned how she wants to face Charlotte Flair someday. She praised Charlotte and stated that she is one of the best wrestlers to ever step in the ring.
“I always say I would love to have a match with Charlotte Flair. I think she’s one of the best that’s ever done it. And people, no matter what you say about her, she’s always proving people wrong. And I think she, it’s very admirable. Her attitude, her poise is everything about her.”
Charlotte has done it all, from giving outstanding matches each year to winning the Women’s title 15 times. It is not surprising for any female wrestler to take Charlotte’s name in their dream opponents list.
Britt Baker on being compared to Charlotte Flair on several occasions
Britt has achieved a lot in AEW in a short period. She has given some memorable moments as well as hard-hitting matches in her short yet strong career.
With her successive achievements and persona, she is often compared to Charlotte Flair. During an interview last year, Britt talked about the comparison and its effect on her performance.
Baker was extremely happy seeing the comparison and stated that she is the face of AEW. She further revealed how pressuring it is to perform on that level and match Charlotte’s persona.
