Last night’s WWE Elimination Chamber was a bang. It was entertainment all the way around for the whole event. We got to see power showcases, trickery, and completely unexpected betrayals. One such entertaining match was the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.
The match featured all the top superstars from the main WWE Women’s roster. Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross, Natalya, Carmella, and Asuka were all a part of this incredible matchup.
The Empress of Tomorrow stood out as the winner of the match and booked herself the WWE Women’s RAW Championship Title match against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39.
Carmella tapped out while being held in the Asuka Lock by the Two times WWE Raw Women’s Champion giving her another chance at the title. This win also marked a historical moment in Women’s Wrestling as Asuka became the first woman to win the Royal Rumble, Money In The Bank, and Elimination Chamber.
This is a feat only achieved by 4 other male superstars in the history of WWE Universe. Randy Orton, John Cena, Edge, and Brock Lesnar are the only ones with this achievement in their name.
Asuka won the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble match in the year 2018 and became the first woman to win a Royal Rumble matchup. However, it all went in vain when she lost her streak to Charlotte Flair in WrestleMania 34.
Two years later, during the pandemic, Asuka fought in the WWE Women’s Money in the Bank match and defeated five other superstars to get her hands on the briefcase. However, she never got a chance to cash in the money as she was handed the Championship title by Becky Lynch due to her pregnancy.
This achievement under the name of The Empress of Tomorrow will surely be carved on the stone as she has achieved a lot among the current women’s roster in a very short amount of time.
Two-times WWE Women’s RAW Champion and one-time WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Asuka made her debut in 2015 under the NXT banner and became the longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion in the history of WWE.
After her magnificent win in the Elimination Chamber match, Asuka is now all set to go against the current WWE Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in the upcoming WrestleMania 39: WrestleMania goes Hollywood.
