“It was after the Australian Open thing that he became the greatest for me.”– Carlsen to Levy on GothamChess YouTube
In the same interview, however, Carlsen mentioned that it wasn’t always Novak. He mentions that earlier it was Roger Federer, who he considered as the Best Tennis player of all time. Also, he said that he identifies his game more as Nadal than Novak or Federer.
“Probably, Federer but I always identified more with the way Nadal plays.”

Alex Corretja expressed his views on Novak completing a Career Golden Slam.
In a recent interview given to Eurosport, Corretja mentions the Paris Summer Olympics 2024. He also shed some light on why he thinks it would be difficult for Novak to win the Gold medal.
The stage is set for the Summer Olympics 2024 and the tennis world has already started its speculation on the winner of the competition. Novak Djokovic has appeared to be the early favorite for becoming the Gold medallist for many. However, Corretja has contrasted these odds by mentioning a few hindrances that Nole might have to face during the event. He said :
“I think that would be a little bit surprising [winning a Golden Slam] because even if he improves his game so much, he’s getting older.”
Corretja also added that Nole will continue to win Grand Slams but his age will make it harder for him to do so.
