IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE recently had an interview with the panel at Planet Comicon and revealed some opponents she wanna face from the WWE and also broke the silence on her exit from the company.
In the same event, she also teased about her AEW debut, told about her experience working as a free agent, and many more.
The notable statement made during the interview was about the talents of WWE that she still wants to wrestle with. According to her “There’s still a lot of talent in WWE” and “I wanna wrestle.” When asked about her potential opponents, the former RAW Women’s champion revealed that she would like to face Zoey Stark of WWE NXT and sees a lot of potential in her.
“I really like Zoey Stark in NXT. I think she is so super, super talented and amazing. She is ready to blast off.”
Mone also told about how she wants Zoey to see in Raw or SmackDown in the near future and would love to have a match with her as soon as possible inside the squared circle.
When asked about other opponents she wanna face, the IWGP Women’s champion also revealed that she wanted to face Mickie James in the WWE ring but never got any chance under Vince Mcmahon’s era. She further revealed that Mickie was one of her idols while growing up and she always dreamed of facing her inside the ring.
“Mickie James is legit one of my idols, someone who I grew up with…..”
Mone also showed her enthusiasm to battle one of her best friends and her former tag team partner Bayley saying she’s not done with her yet and wants to face her once again and praised the former Smackdown Women’s champion.
The Grand Slam Champion also said that she always wanted to have a long match with Natalya, whom she used to train with, and had long training sessions and sparring matches which she wanted to showcase in front of the fans but never got much time to do so.

When asked about her potential return and departure, Mone said that she was not gonna comment on her exit and refused to know the reason behind her possible exit from the company.
“Nobody knows the story because I haven’t said anything, and I’m not going to say anything because that’s just the classy boss that I am, the CEO……..”
According to Mone, she always wanted to go for a new chapter in her life, and being in WWE for ten years, she wanted a whole new destiny for herself and stated that this is what she wanted and this is her dream and she wants to achieve it her way.
Speaking about her potential AEW debut, she hinted about being a part of the AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door and might be a part of it.
