Alex Corretja feels that it will be surprising for him to see World No.1 Novak Djokovic winning a Golden Slam next year
The Paris Olympics next year will give the players a chance to win a Golden Slam. Players like Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Holger Rune are the most promising players and will make their debut in the Olympics. But, Novak Djokovic who was very close to winning all the Majors in 2023 is the most potential candidate for the title.
"I’m sure that Novak (Djokovic) is going to keep on winning Slam, but it would be a little bit surprising see him doing the Golden Slam. Because even if he improves his game so much, he’s getting older."

The 36-year-old Serbian won the Australian Open, the French Open, and the US Open and was also the runner-up at the Wimbledon Open. Not only that, he won two Masters titles, the Nitto ATP Finals, and ended the season as the No.1 player. As he gears up for the next season he would be eying to continue his form and aim for Golden Slam.
A Golden Slam refers to winning all four Majors along with an Olympic gold medal in a calendar year.
Former Roland Garros runners-up Alex Corretja said that Novak Djokovic will keep winning Grand Slams in the future but it will be difficult for him to win the Golden Slam.
“I think that would be a little surprising[to win a Golden Slam]. Because even if he improves his game so much, he’s getting older. It’s normal that he’s getting older and the recovery is not the same.”

Alex Corretja expressed his views on the favorite to win the tournament and it is none other than Novak Djokovic. At the same time, he feels that there are a few players who will definitely give him a tough time.
“He is the main favorite[at the Australian Open 2024]. I think it’s going to be one of the most Australian Opens we had in the last few years, because we have several players that can do very well and are playing their best, physically. They’re growing, they’re getting stronger.”
