Morocco is going to face Spain in the round of 16 of the World Cup. The Moroccans have a chance to get into the World Cup semi-final for the first time in their football history.
They also became the first African nation of the 21st century who topped their group in the World Cup. They achieved this milestone by comfortably beating the Canadian side by 2-1.
We are not sure who’s gonna win the match as we have seen some unexpected results throughout the World Cup already and it is expected the knockout stages to be as exciting as the group stages.
Morocco who made it to the knockout stage after so long topped the group and became the first African nation of the 21st century to do so, surprising the World with their talents and skills, despite doing this much they may get a little short of this Spanish side.
Spain who started their World Cup journey with a 7 – Nil victory looked very strong at first. They were the World Cup favourites but then in their next match, they drew to Germany and lost their final game to Japan (not to mention that goal) increasing concern among fans.
But still, we are talking about Spain, they are not going to lose this match. Luis Enrique’s men are very well prepared for this.
However, competing with Morocco is not going to be an easy task. Morocco has performed very well in this World Cup so far and will give a tough fight to Spain.
My guess is that the match will fall in the favour of Spain, they will win the match by scoring one goal in the extra time as both teams will not be able to pass through each other’s defence. The match will go to extra time where Spain will score a last-minute goal, ultimately ending Morocco’s World Cup journey.
