Ronaldo and Messi’s relationship
Having played on the rival team both the players were seen clashing very often. They were never able to play on the same side of the half but were sharing the field for a very long time as fated rivals. Both the top of the class players clashed against each other and made the El Clasico between these two clubs more fierce than it already was.
These two players can create a rift between brothers and families on whom to support. On the contrary, these two players share a rather warm and friendly relationship and are never seen sparring or exchanging hatred on the field. But then the real question arises: Did Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo ever have dinner together?
Did Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo ever have dinner together?
During the UEFA Player of the year award ceremony, the two shared a stage and were seated next to each other for the whole amount of time. The show gave us many core memories to carry on with. One of them is Ronaldo’s praise for Messi and desire to have dinner with him.
“We have shared the stage 15 years. I don’t know if that’s happened before – the same two guys on the same stage all the time,” Ronaldo talks about him and Messi sharing the field and playing against each other on multiple occasions throughout the years.
He then continues and adds to it by saying “Of course, we have a good relationship. We haven’t had dinner together yet, but I hope in the future.” when asked if they have a healthy relationship and if have they ever shared a dining table yet?
To which Messi replies by saying “Yes, I don’t have any problem with that… We might not be friends because we’ve never shared a dressing room together but I always see him at award shows and there’s no problem.”
He then also says “I don’t know if there will be a dinner because I don’t know if our paths will cross for obvious reasons, each one of us has our own life and our own commitments. But obviously, I would accept the invitation.”
So the answer to our question is a no for now. But seeing the exchange of comments between the two we can see it happen anytime soon that we see the two sharing a dining table and enjoying their meal.
