Manchester United defender Raphael Varane left the pitch in tears after getting Injured while playing against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge with the Qatar World Cup just one month away.
The Frenchman tried to hide his face with his shirt in order to hide his agony and anguish as he was being substituted in the earlier stage of the match. It seemed like Raphael Varane picked up a serious injury after he tried to cut out a pass from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Varane’s knee injury will surely put his participation in doubt for the upcoming World Cup next month. While trying to intercept the ball between a pass from Chelsea attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but the tackle ended in a disaster.
The 29-year-old has been suffering from a bad history of injuries since he arrived at Manchester United. Raphael Varane has already missed 18 games for the Old Trafford club after he arrived at United last season.
But it seems like the World Cup winner will not be able to defend his title in Qatar. It’s fair to say that the 29-year-old was in the primes of his career when he was at Real Madrid. He has won four UEFA Champions League titles with Los Blancos and a World Cup title with France.
Varane has 85 caps for his country and is one of the side’s most important defensive figures having played every single minute of their triumphant World Cup campaign in Russia four years ago.
