The 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament is the greatest footballing event of the year. People from all around the World are excited to support their national teams in this international competition.
The top 32 teams from all around the world will battle against each other in order to get their hands on the World Cup. The stage is all set and all preparations are complete for the tournament to kick off.
Qatar was chosen as the host nation for the event and will also be participating in it as a contestant. The tournament commences this November 21st and the end to this will be written on the 18th of December.
And when this tournament comes to an end, the organizing body FIFA issues a list of awards to the players and teams that according to them were phenomenal in the tournament and deserved to be awarded.

The list of FIFA Awards contains 5 awards handed out after the end of the tournament and one award given after every matchup.
1. Golden Ball award
The Golden Ball Award is presented to the best player in the tournament. And those who finish 2nd and 3rd on the leaderboard are given the Silver Ball and Bronze Ball awards from the same line of awards. The latest Golden Ball award was given to Luka Modric in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
2. Golden Boot award
The Golden Boot award is presented to the player with the highest number of goals at the end of the tournament. It is also commonly known as the Golden Shoe award by many because of its official name in the past. The last Golden Boot award was given to Harry Kane who scored 6 goals in the tournament.
3. Golden Glove award
The Golden Glove award is presented to the best goalkeeper in the tournament. The FIFA technical team assesses every goalkeeper on its performance and chooses the best. The award was previously known as the Lev Yashin Award to show respect to the best goalkeeper in the world of all time. The latest version of the award was presented to Thibaut Courtois in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
4. Best Young Player award
The Best Young Player award is presented to the best player under the age of 21 years. The latest Best Young Player award was awarded to Kylian Mbappe who became the youngest player ever to win a FIFA World Cup.
5. FIFA Fairplay Trophy
The FIFA Fairplay trophy is presented to the national team with the most points on the Fairplay scoreboard. Every player on the team is also handed a medal out of respect to help keep the sport healthy. The 2018 FIFA World Cup Fairplay award was presented to Spain’s- national football team.
6. Man of the Match award
The Man of the Match award is presented after every matchup to the best player of the match during the whole tenure of the tournament. Antoine Griezmann won the most number of Man of the Match awards in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Other Awards
There are a few more awards presented after the tourney by the organizing body FIFA. The goal of the tournament award is presented to the player with the best goal in the tournament and in 2018 it was awarded to Benjamin Pavard.
The other two awards are the Most Entertaining Team award given to Russia in the 2018 version of the tournament and the All-Star team award which is given to the best players of the tournament forming a top team them.
