The 2024 season is almost here and there have been a lot of headlines surrounding training and coaching staffs. First, it was Holger Rune who added Ex-Federer coach Severin Luthi to his coaching ranks. Now, it is the American, Frances Tiafoe who has announced that he will no longer be working with coach Wayne Ferriera in the upcoming season.
Tiafoe added a public post on his Instagram stories where he shared a heartfelt message for now former coach Wayne. He thanked him for constantly pushing and encouraging him. He also recounted his three-year experience working with him. He wrote:

The announcement comes as a surprise as the new season is just around the corner. However, he has already recruited former UTSA mentor Diego Moyano as his new private coach.
This news came through Frances himself too. He made a separate Instagram post to Welcome Diego. He shared that he is working immensely on his game with his new coach and is excited for the journey ahead. His Instagram post read
“Happy to announce I’m starting my 2k24 with @diegoamoyano coaching me. It’s a full circle moment from you helping me back at the Usta days to now privately. Im excited for what’s to come. “I don’t think it’s too serious” – Gael Monfils is confident about making a rebound post-injury scare at UTS
Frenchman Gaël Monfils twisted his ankle during a UTS group-stage match. However, he’s made some positive statements on its current condition.
Gaël Monfils went down in a match against Jack Draper during a group stage tie at the UTS. It was supposed to be a severe ankle injury that could’ve had massive repercussions for him ahead of the new season.
But, Monfils shared an important update on his ankle sprain and has assured fans that he’ll be fine in a few days time. He also made some positive comments on his experience playing at the UTS and being in Los Angeles. He made these comments before re-evaluation.
“I don’t think it’s too serious, I’m still going to have an MRI but to be able to play three hours later and have a good match against the world No. 8 is a good sign. A few days of rest and we’ll be fine.”
“I’ve played UTS in Los Angeles, Frankfurt and here in London, I really loved Los Angeles. The atmosphere, the atmosphere and the place, it’s my best moment of the year at UTS.”
