Fans are really excited for the grandest party of summer this year as SummerSlam 2023 has already set a new record for ticket sales in WWE for any premium live event and the hype for this event is up the charts.
As for the event, Summerslam has been a must-see live event producing a lot of memorable matches and countless memories over the years.
WWE announced earlier that they would be heading to Detroit in August later this year for SummerSlam inside Ford Field. This will mark the first time that the company will be hosting it here after WrestleMania 23 (2007) and SummerSlam 1993.
While the event has already been hyped up and all the fans are excited, it has already been proved that this year’s Summerslam might be the best of all time commercially for the company.
It has been officially confirmed that Summerslam 2023 has already sold over 30,000 tickets for this year’s frenzy after the seats were made available last Friday. This officially marks the biggest day-one sale for a stadium event in the company’s history with the exception of WrestleMania.
With the craze and amount of excitement shown by the fans, the event looks to be sure one of a kind. As of now, there haven’t been any matches that are scheduled to take place at this year’s Summer Bash but speculations are that there have been some huge matches in the talks for this year’s mega event.
With the likes of Roman Reigns, Rey Mysterio, Brock Lesnar, and Cody Rhodes on the promotional poster of the event, it seems we may get a fully stacked card for this year’s SummerSlam.
Many matches have been speculated to occur at this year’s event starting off with the WrestleMania rematch between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns as people are still behind Cody after his loss and want to see him finish his story but many suggest that WWE might pull the trigger on Roman and Seth Rollins feud which has been protected for over a year.
Other matches that are on the table for the event include John Cena vs. Logan Paul, Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar, and the ongoing rivalry between Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch is one more that might also come to an end at this year’s grand summer party.
