Manchester City Star attacker Erling Haaland’s yoga pose celebration has become really famous around the world in a lot of sports. And most recently, Green Bay Packers’ Allen Lazard celebrated in Haaland’s style after opening touchdown against the New York Giants in London.
The Wide receiver paid homage by celebrating in style to the Manchester City goal machine. The Norwegian striker started using the celebration when he was at Red Bull Salzburg. But now it seems it is becoming iconic outside football.
How’s Erling Haaland performing for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola?
Erling Haaland is like a cheat code for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola. Whenever he’s on the ground, he makes sure that his name gets on the scoresheet. And it’s fair to say that he’s currently ruling the big league.
In Manchester City’s last Premier League match which was against Southampton, Erling Haaland scored a spectacular goal at the one-hour mark. While in his last UEFA Champions League game, Haaland bashed defenceless FC Copenhagen by scoring a brace.
And in his next match, the Norwegian striker will face FC Copenhagen again, but this time in the second leg. And City fans are looking forward to a glorious performance from the Norwegian striker again.
In the English Premier League, the attacker has scored 15 goals in nine matches and he’s the top-scorer. While in the UEFA Champions League, the former Borussia Dortmund striker has scored five goals in three matches.
Former Manchester United player and Football pundit Rio Ferdinand shared his sentiments for the striker, saying: “No one knew what he would do, I am a big enough man to admit this guy is doing different bits now, it’s unheard of. It is stupid really.”
“It is like a Sunday league player overage, he is doing it in the PL. People said he was only doing it in Germany. I was concerned he wouldn’t score the type of goals he did before at City with possession all the time, his instinct and understanding the game, he said do not question me ever again.”
