Barça dominated the first half and led at the break, but an incredible second half resulted in a six-goal tie, leaving Inter only one win away from qualifying for the Round of 16. Barça are theoretically still alive, but this defeat means they will very certainly be playing in the Europa League for the second year in a row.

After the game, Barcelona fans flocked to Twitter to condemn the left-back for his poor performance.
One fan said, “Disappointing is an understatement! Xavi needs to do better! These boys are still playing kindergarten football, especially dembele. Xavi should stop dropping balde. And dejong too. Our performance is absolutely disappointing. WTF!!!!!”
Another tweeted, “Is about time xavi checks his tactics…how can you be playing high intensity games and bench Frankie de Jong”.
A third said, “I have said this. You can’t be starting gavi and Pedri in big matches..it takes aggression out of your game and make you susceptible to counters“.

The sole goal of the first half came from Ousmane Dembele, who gave the hosts a 1-0 lead until Nicolo Barella equalised shortly after the interval.
Lautaro Martinez pushed Inter ahead in the 63rd minute, setting the stage for a frantic closing 10 minutes at Camp Nou. Inter appeared to have clinched a victory to knock Barcelona out of the competition but Robert Lewandowski equalised in minute 82 and Robin Gosens scored in minute 89.
However, in the second minute of stoppage time, the Poland international scored his second of the game and 14th in 12 games to keep Barcelona’s forlorn hopes alive. But after the game, Blaugrana fans were unimpressed with their team and in particular their new signings.
