24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic is having a tough season and he has a 12-7 win-loss record in 2025. The Serb will turn 38 this month and he has not won a title this season yet.
Novak Djokovic won his last title in 2024, at the Paris Olympics. He defeated Carlos Alcaraz to win the gold medal but he has faced some unexpected losses this season.

The former World No. 1 reached the final of the Miami Open and was only one win away from his 100th ATP title but Jakub Mensik defeated him in straight sets to ruin his party.
Djokovic’s fans would be disappointed that he has not won a set in 2025 on the clay court yet. He suffered 3-6, 4-6 loss against Alejandro Tabilo at the Monte-Carlo Masters and then he was beaten in straight sets by Matteo Arnaldi at the Madrid Open.
Djokovic has withdrawn from the 2025 Italian Open, which means he will probably go to the Roland Garros without winning any match on clay court this season.
In 2023, Novak Djokovic failed to win any ATP title on clay in April and May, as he suffered losses against Lorenzo Musetti in Monte-Carlo, Dusan Lajovic in Banja Luka and Holger Rune at the Italian Open, but still he won the French Open in June.
He is currently ranked No. 5 in the ATP Rankings, which means that he could face Jannik Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinal of the French Open. We saw it at the Australian Open that he struggled due to an injury after winning a tough quarterfinal against Carlos Alcaraz, so it would be difficult for him to win three tough matches in a row at Grand Slams now.
Novak Djokovic’s big target should be the Wimbledon Championships, where he reached the finals in his last six appearances. He lost to Carlos Alcaraz in last two finals at the grass court event, but if he goes to the surface early this season, he could be a candidate to win his eighth Wimbledon title.

Novak Djokovic has often said that he is not playing for any records now, but he could level Roger Federer by winning his eighth Wimbledon title. He has won 97 matches at Wimbledon in the past, so it could become the first grand slam where he would complete the century of wins.
The Serb could become first player in the history of tennis to win 25 grand slams in singles. He is currently level with Margaret Court, who won 24 grand slams, but more than half of her grand slams were in the amateur era, so he already stands as the only player to win 24 singles grand slams in the open era.
If he does not win the 100th ATP title in the grass court season, then his best chance would be to win the Belgrade Open at his home in November, which means he could win achieve the big milestone in front of his countryfellows.
