5. Edouard Mendy
The strong contenders from the Group A of the FIFA 2022 World Cup alongside rival nation Netherlands is home to one of the most underrated players. Their star goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is one of the best goalkeepers out there.
Mendy also plays for the Premier League team Chelsea and is one of the most underrated players as he has to compete for the starting 11 with the star goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in the team.

Another underrated goalkeeper in this list has to be none other than Mike Maignan. Mike currently plays for the Seria A club AC Milan and is one of their most underrated players.
The Frenchman was excellent in the PSG youth academy and found a spot in the PSG-B team. He also had a successful run of 7 years with the French club Lillie and played a total of 149 matched for them.
Maignan also plays for his national team of France and has played 4 matches for them. Since the french team is fully stacked with incredible players the recognition to our goalkeeper is very limited. Not to forget the lesser opportunity to perform.
2. Ibrahim Konate
Konate was an extraordinary young talent in Sochaux youth academy. He currently plays for the English club Liverpool and has appeared in 11 matches for them. He had previously played for the German club RB Leipzig in 76 matches.
He is a phenomenal defensive centre-back and knows how to handle pressure. The player also plays for the French national football team starting this year. He led his team to victory in the FA Cup as well as the EFL Cup in the latest season.
1. Rodrigo De Paul
One of the most underrated players list is incomplete without Rodrigo Paul. The player currently plays for the La Liga club Atletico Madrid as a midfield and has played over 36 matches for the team.
The Argentine was an integral part of the Udinese team and played 177 matches scoring a total of 33 goals. He also plays for the Argentina national football team and has been capped a total of 41 times.
He is one of the most underrated players in the team and it would be amazing to see him perform alongside great players like Lionel Messi.
