Over the years, there have been a lot of handsome black wrestlers in WWE.
In general, it has been quite difficult for black wrestlers in WWE to break out as main-event stars. Only a handful of them have been successful. With that said, in this list we are ranking the top 10 most handsome black wrestlers to have wrestled in WWE:
10. Shelton Benjamin
Shelton Benjamin joined WWE in the early 2000s and is one of the standout black wrestlers in WWE. He has a series of accomplishments, including being the United States Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and Tag Team Champion.
Benjamin is known for his fantastic in-ring skills. He is a veteran and has been with WWE for a long time. He is currently signed to the RAW brand.
9. Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley is one of the most accomplished and handsome black wrestlers out there. “The Almighty” is one of the only men to go toe to toe with Brock Lesnar.
Lashley first debuted in WWE in 2005. After a brief run with the company, Lashley left in 2008 to pursue a career in MMA. He later returned to WWE nearly 10 years later and currently performs under the RAW brand.
8. Booker T
Booker T was the ultimate “underdog fights his way to the top” story. He made his mark in WCW when he overcame every obstacle in his way and rose to the very top.
When he joined WWE in 2001, he had to do it from scratch all over again. That didn’t seem to be a problem for the man, who was well-equipped for the struggles. Booker T also won the World Heavyweight Championship after defeating Rey Mysterio in 2006. He later served as a commentator, and the man was phenomenal there as well.
7. Apollo Crews
Despite not having much success on WWE’s main roster, Apollo Crews was a former Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, and a one-time Tag Champ as well.
Apollo Crews is known for his high-flying ability and his tremendous power. He is currently performing in NXT, where he once even took the champion, Bron Breakker to the limit. In addition, he is also definitely one of the most handsome black wrestlers in WWE currently.
6. Big E
Big E is a powerhouse of a wrestler and is most known for being the muscle of the largely popular faction, The New Day.
Not to mention, Big E was a pretty talented wrestler in NXT. He had all the qualities for being an ideal wrestler- he was good on the mic, he had impressive ring skills, and most importantly, he connected well with the fans. However, he truly shined as a superstar when he joined the New Day. He is a two-time Intercontinental Champion, and multiple-time Tag Team Champion and he even won the WWE Championship by defeating Bobby Lashley.
5. R-Truth
While he’s not the greatest black wrestler in WWE, R-Truth is certainly the greatest entertainer. The man’s a comedic genius and he never fails to captivate the audience.
R-Truth has been with WWE for a long time, and he is mostly involved in comedic storylines, such as his 24/7 Championship reign. No matter how many times he lost it, the title always seems to find its way back to him. It’s almost like the championship was specifically made for him. Despite his age, R-Truth is still one of the good-looking black wrestlers in WWE.
4. Kofi Kingston
The man who planted the seeds for all the future and presents black wrestlers to benefit from in today’s WWE is none other than Kofi Kingston.
Kofi is one of the greatest black wrestlers and even one of the greatest in-ring performers in the world of professional wrestling. He had a pretty great singles career, but the man really shined after joining New Day. The build-up to his WWE Championship reign was one of the most fan-favorite moments in the entirety of WWE. The entire WWE Universe rallied behind the KofiMania. That should be enough proof of his relevance in WWE.
3. Rocky Johnson
Rocky Johnson was one of the first black wrestlers to win a championship in WWE.
The man had a brief run in the company, but he remains unforgettable despite having a not-so-great career. He was one of the most handsome black wrestlers when he was in his prime. Rocky Johnson is also the father of WWE and Hollywood icon, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
2. Ricochet
Ricochet is one of the most unbelievable wrestlers in WWE. His gravity-defying moves have the audiences at the edge of their seats.
The One and Only has displayed great feats of agility in the past few months. The high-flying superstar impressed the entire WWE Universe with his breathtaking performances against experienced veterans like AJ Styles. In addition to that, he is also one of the most good-looking black wrestlers in WWE history.
1. The Rock
Being the son of Rocky Johnson and competing in WWE was no easy task. Dwayne Johnson had huge shoes to fill. Looking back, it’s safe to say that the man exceeded everyone’s expectations.
Initially, he wasn’t anything special. Fans hated his “always smiling” babyface persona. However, after he turned heel and got more involved with his “The Rock” character, fans started to love him. The Rock is one of the most over superstars with fans in WWE. He is insanely popular, and to this day whenever The Rock makes his appearance, the entire arena explodes in a huge pop. After leaving WWE for Hollywood, he eventually became a megastar there as well. The Rock is one of the most influential figures in the world of professional wrestling and Hollywood.
