Swiss maestro Roger Federer played against Jo Wilfried Tsonga in the final exhibition match in Bogota, Columbia. The match was no short of entertaining they both involved in a funny banter.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion who originally lacked self-control during his junior days had transformed his on-court demeanor and became popular for his grace later on the court. But, the same person shows a funny side during exhibition and charity matches.
A tennis fan shared a clip on X, from the exhibition match which took place 12 years ago. The Swiss went crazy during one of the rallies at the final exhibition match in Columbia.
It was an epic clash between the Swiss and the Frenchman as they both played spectacular tennis, putting up a show. Federer was trailing in the first set 4-5 and the points were 40-30, but a stunning winner leveled the scores to 5-5.
Following that rally, Federer orchestrated the crowd, raising and lowering the level of excitement among the fans with his gestures. It is one of the funniest celebrations ever seen.
It was no less from the other side of the court. The Frenchman also attracted the crowd as he wasted some time tossing the ball a number of times during service. Roger Federer on the other side couldn’t stop his laughter and turned the match into an entertaining one.
Federer and Tsonga have faced each other a total of 18 times Federer leads the record 12-8.
When Andre Agassi mocked Roger Federer during a match
Two of the greatest tennis players locked horns for a charity match during the 2010 Indian Wells Masters. It was none other than Roger Federer and Andre Agassi who had fun mocking each other throughout the match.
Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras were involved in the match. Federer teamed up with Sampras and Nadal teamed up with Agassi for the ‘Hit for Haiti’ fundraising exhibition match to help the Caribbean Country from a devastating earthquake.
Roger Federer was about to serve when Agassi was involved in a banter with the Swiss by telling him that he was not intimidating.
“You know, I just got to call out something. You’re not very intimidating.”

Federer responded by saying “I know”.
Agassi then said:
“You’re like, you’re disarming…..you’re very Swiss, I don’t know what it is.”
Federer then said:
“Very neutral, very relaxed”
The Swiss then served which he didn’t get, and prompted Agassi to say:
“That was the best you got wasn’t it.”
Federer then made the second serve, which went for a long rally and finally won the point. Agassi praised the point and said:
“God, you’re good.”
