Rafael Nadal received a special gift from Lionel Messi as he celebrated Argentina’s one-year anniversary of their World Cup win.
Argentina defeated France in the final 3-3(4-2) of the 2022 FIFA World Cup title in Qatar. It was December 18 last year when they lifted their third title. It was very special for Lionel Messi as his long-awaited dream finally came true.
Lionel Messi scored two goals in the final but France fought back towards the end of the match. Kylian Mbappe’s hat trick helped France to level the scores and keep their hopes alive. The match was eventually pushed to the penalty shootout which decided the winner of the match.

Nadal shared stories on Instagram congratulating the Argentine team and also acknowledged France’s effort till the last. As they celebrate one year of their World Cup title, Argentine football player Lionel Messi sent a signed jersey online to Rafael Nadal who is a big-time football fan.
The Rafael Nadal Academy took to X to share the news and announced that the jersey had been put on display inside the Rafael Nadal Museum. Rafael Nadal has been a big fan of the Spanish club Real Madrid and Messi played for the rival team Barcelona for 17 years.
Rafael Nadal is currently gearing up for the Brisbane International at the start of the new year after he missed the 2023 entire season due to injury.

Rafael Nadal is all set to make his return to action at the Brisbane International tournament starting December 31. He last played his match at the 2023 Australian Open where he faced a second-round exit due to injury and underwent surgery.
As the day approaches, tennis fans are eagerly waiting to see him back and Serena Williams’s ex-coach Patrick Mouratoglou feels that Rafael Nadal can be dangerous if he has a good physical shape.
The fact that he was out for so long makes people feel that probably his body is not great, considering his age and the fact that again he had to stop for so long. But, if he feels good physically, he will always be dangerous.
