Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is preparing to impose stringent terms on former lover Shakira following their highly publicised split.
They will meet again on Tuesday to attempt to reach an agreement about the custody of the children, as Shakira wishes to leave Barcelona with them and Pique wishes for them to remain in Catalonia with him.
What has Shakira said to Gerard Pique ?
The issue between Pique and Shakira is becoming increasingly public, and in an exclusive interview with ELLE magazine, the singer stated that she is at the “darkest time of her life,” while also sharing specifics of her contentious divorce.
“I can only say that I put everything I had into this relationship and into my family (…) Gerard, as a footballer, wanted to play football and win titles, and I had to support him (…) I put my career on the back burner and I came to Spain, so he could play football and win titles. And it was an act of love”.
Shakira told the magazine, “Thanks to that, my children were able to have a mother present, and I have this incredible bond with them that is unbreakable and that sustains us”.
What reaction did Pique had after Shakira’s interview?
According to La Vanguardia, Pique is furious over the interview because he believes Shakira violated a mutual respect deal and perceived it as an attempt by the Colombian to play the victim and put pressure on the negotiation.
The meeting on Tuesday will take place at the office of Pique’s lawyer, Ramon Tamborero, when, according to sources close to the player, he will seek for custody of his children and, if an amicable arrangement cannot be reached, he may opt to go to trial.

According to the Spanish press, both the Colombian singer and the Los Blancos superstar are now single, and everything is back to normal. Following his split with the Barcelona star, the Colombian has been linked to a number of people, including Henry Cavill and Ozuna.
However, no one on either side of the alleged romance has made any promises. The Colombian has yet to respond, but no one is surprised that she will do so soon.
