Dave Portnoy who took to X, appreciating Aryna Sabalenka’s efforts to win the semifinal has sparked rumours about their relationship.
Aryna Sabalenka defeated Madison Keys in an epic semifinal clash. Sabalenka who was one set down, went on to win the match later. It was Dave Portnoy, the American Businessman and the founder of Barstool Sports, who was head over heels and posted a video on X, cherishing Sabalenka’s win.
Aryna Sabalenka is a Belarusian tennis player. She won the 2023 Australian Open and was very close to winning her second Majors in the US Open against Coco Gauff. She has won two Majors doubles in the 2019 US Open and the 2021 Australian Open. She has 19 career titles to date. Besides her professional life, not much is known or available about her personal life.
She was earlier linked to Konstantin Koltsov, who is a retired professional ice hockey player from Belarus. He has represented Belarus in two Winter Olympics and nine World Championships. Both are from the capital city of Minsk. Sabalenka had shared photos of them together from vacations on Instagram which sparked some rumours about their relationship. The fans were okay until the semifinal of the US Open, when Sabalenka was up against Madison Keys and fought back brilliantly from 6-0 in the first set Dave Portnoy shared something on X. He shared a video, not just as a fan of Sabalenka’s game but also a lover. He was all praise for Sabalenka. It seemed as if he was going through the same emotion as Sabalenka did throughout the match. Following his video, Sabalenka invited him to watch her play against Coco Gauff in the finals of the US Open, but Portnoy couldn’t make it due to his prior commitments.
In an earlier tweet on the same day, Portnoy tweeted to watch Sabalenka’s match rather than the football match which coincided. He mentioned Sabalenka as the Queen of Tennis. In the video, he said how his girl was 6-0 down in the first set and made a comeback in the game and won the game in tiebreakers in both sets. He mentioned this match as the biggest comeback he had come across. They have been spotted together in Miami later, which made it pretty clear about their bond.
