Manchester United’s star Cristiano Ronaldo has finally spoken out after being left out of Real Madrid’s matchday roster for their upcoming match against Chelsea. This follows Ronaldo’s rant when he walked through the tunnel before their recent game against Tottenham.
Manager Erik Ten Hag was questioned about Ronaldo storming down the tunnel and departing Old Trafford rather than celebrating the win over Tottenham, to which he responded by removing Ronaldo from the matchday squad against Chelsea.

The official release of Manchester United stated, “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday’s Premier League game against Chelsea. The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture”.
CR7 has taken to Instagram and issued a clarification on his part. He stated, “As I’ve always done throughout my career, I try to live and play respectfully towards my colleagues, my adversaries and my coaches. That hasn’t changed. I haven’t changed. I’m the same person and the same professional that I’ve been for the last 20 years playing elite football, and respect has always played a very important role in my decision making process,” read a note shared by Ronaldo”.
“I started very young, the older and most experienced players examples were always very important to me. Therefore, later on, I’ve always tried to set the example myself for the youngsters that grew in all the teams that I’ve represented. Unfortunately that’s not always possible and sometimes the heat of the moment get’s the best of us“.
He further added, “Right now, I just feel that I have to keep working hard in Carrington, support my teammates and be ready for everything in any given game. Giving in to the pressure is not an option”.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner reportedly declined to come on as a substitute in their win against Tottenham before his fate was announced in a brief club statement.
He scored 24 goals in his first season back at Old Trafford, has made only two starts in 10 league games this season.
His ambitions to quit Manchester United became public in the summer when his agent Jorge Mendes spoke with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly. While a move did not take place, his discontent has been obvious at Manchester United this season.
