Established for the very first time in 1993, the WWE Hall of Fame has honoured some of wrestling’s greatest icons every year. But getting a place in the prestigious list of the Hall of Fame is still a far cry for various superstars. Last year, we saw the induction of the Undertaker, Late Vadar, Queen Sharmell, and the Steiner Brothers into the WWE Hall of Fame. Let’s take a look at 7 Superstars who could be inducted into the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame:
Top 7 Superstars who could be inducted into the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame
7. Bam Bam Bigelow
Bam Bam Bigelow not being a Hall of Famer yet is a surprise in itself. But as we all know that under Triple H’s regime, several things have been corrected. So we hope that we’ll all see Bam Bam Bigelow on the Hall of Famers list in 2023. The wrestling legend left us in 2007, and there is no better way of respecting the late Bam Bam Bigelow.
6. Owen Hart
Such a talented superstar who had a really tragic end. During his pro wrestling career, Owen Hart worked for several promotions including Stampede Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The icon lost his priceless life in 1999 in the WWE ring. He surely deserves a place in WWE’s Hall of Fame but it’s highly unlikely.
5. Batista
A pioneer of the Attitude Era, the Animal’s presence in the WWE Hall of Fame makes a lot of sense. It’s because WWE has also made their intention of inducting the Animal into the Hall of Fame. But it hasn’t been possible yet. Marking a brilliant debut in 2002, Batista went on to become a four-time Tag Team Champion, four-time World Heavyweight Champion, two-time WWE Champion, and a two-time Royal Rumble winner.
4. Mickie James
A veteran in the Pro Wrestling business, Mickie James’ WWE career hasn’t been talked about enough. Mickie James held the Women’s title six times and in the coming year, she’s among the favourites to enter the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2023.
3. Finlay
He really deserves a place in the WWE Hall of Fame. Fit Finlay was a star in all the promotions he worked in, whether it was WCW or WWE. The Irishman’s memorable partnership with the Hornswoggle will always acquire a special place in the hearts of all WWE fans. We hope to see his name in the WWE Hall of Fame in this coming year.
2. William Regal
When it comes to pro wrestling, William Regal is an absolute legend. He has everything required for being successful in the business in his arsenal. It can be great in-ring technical skills, an excellent on-mic work ethic, or even a trustworthy understanding of the business. Regal was recently connected with Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling. But as he has reportedly broken ties with the promotion, his induction into the Hall of Fame makes much more sense.
1. Umaga
He made his debut as a member of Three Minute Warning, alongside his cousin Rosey, Eddie Fatu. But he got his major moment after four years in 2006 when he was termed as the Samoan Bulldozer. He was a likely candidate for the honour under Vince McMahon but also in Hunter’s regime, he can’t be ignored. Another reason for it can be the domination of the Samoan family in WWE.
Notable Mentions
Names such as Chris Jericho, Christian and The Big Show are also likely candidates for a place in the Hall of Fame. But due to their connections to the AEW, we’ll not see their inductions at least this year.
