5. David Luiz changes the free-kick spot marked by the referee.
In the first leg of the Champions League, where PSG were the hosts to the Blues. In the first half of the match, PSG was awarded a free kick. The referee marked the spot for Zlatan Ibrahimovic using a vanishing spray foam.
However former Blues player David Luiz had different plans and erased the arc marking with his hand. Continued by showing his teammate a new spot with a better angle than before. All while the officer had his eyes employed away from this scene.
4. Casemiro’s eternal fall
Defensive midfielder Casemiro put up an oscar worthy act in a matchup between Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur. Mid game Casemiro couldn’t receive the pass to his benefit when Harry Winks made a minute contact to his shoulder, Casemiro exaggerated the force by falling backward as if he had been pulled by the player. The fall took the player an eternity to complete.
The social media saw a flood of comments like: ” Strong winds reported in North London tonight” and ” Ghost spotted pulling Casemiro”.
3. Robin Zentner’s legendary air kick
“I went to play a pass into the center but I didn’t make contact with the ball, and then I realized it wasn’t even there.” These were the words from the mouth of the Mainz 05 goalkeeper Robin Zentner after his clanger. In an attempt to receive a pass from his teammate and instantly pass it back forward, Zentner didn’t see that the ball had a little spin left.
The ball spun back while his attention towards his opponents. Zentner mistook the circular white penalty spot for the ball and swung his kick with nothing but the air in contact. Having realized his blunder he instantly recovered and didn’t allow the opposite side to score from his mistake.
2. Lacazette screams like he has seen a ghost
In a match between Arsenal and Burnley, Alexandre Lacazette put up a comic show for the audience. The French player was heard clearly crying in pain when opposition forward Erik Pieters tried to challenge him from behind. The cry was so loud that the commentator Gary Linekar said: “It’s a world record Ian, isn’t it?”.
Just moments after this, Lacazette was seen all fit and healthy on his legs. What made it even funnier was the reaction by Match Of The Day where Linekar with his colleagues Dion Dublin and Ian Wright imitated the gunner and were seen holding their legs and screaming.
1. The Drinking Goalie
Mark Flekker was entitled as the drinking goalie after his severe blunder in a Bundesliga 2 match against the Ingolstadt. MSV Duisberg had just scored a goal that gave them a 2-0 lead.
The winning side’s goalkeeper Flekker took a sigh of relief and turned his back on the game to grab his water bottle near the netted edge unaware of the fact that the referee has ruled out the previous goal and Stefan Kutschke from the opposition is very close to scoring the equalizer. Awestruck, Flekker could not react to this and was gazing at the ball until it hit the net.
