Following a rocky start as Manchester United manager, Fergie won the FA Cup in 1990 and never looked back.
He won 38 major trophies during his glittering 26-year reign at Old Trafford before shocking the world with his retirement announcement at the end of the 2012-13 season.
Ferguson added another League Cup to his collection in the 2009–10 season, defeating Aston Villa 2–1 in the final on 28 February 2010, United’s first ever successful knockout cup defence.
