Jerry Springer, a renowned TV host, reportedly passed away at the age of 79 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few months ago. Springer hosted WWE Monday Night RAW and also moderated an intervention between the Bella Twins a couple of years ago.
Jerry Springer, who was famous for hosting “The Jerry Springer Show,” served as a guest host for “WWE Raw” back in 2010 and moderated an “intervention” between the Bella Twins in 2014. Additionally, he hosted “Too Hot For TV,” a WWE Network series that highlighted some of the company’s most controversial moments and storylines over the years.
Jerry Springer played a big role in WWE’s “Attitude Era” and also had a TV show during the day. His TV show helped WWE change the way they did things, and they talked about him during a famous promo by Vince Mcmahon in 1997. The show had a big influence on WWE, making their programming more about personal drama, crazy people, and sometimes things not appropriate for kids.
Before embarking on his television career, Springer actively participated in politics. He began his career as an advisor to Robert F. Kennedy during his presidential campaign and eventually launched his own campaign for Congress.
Even though his congressional campaign failed, Springer managed to get elected to the Cincinnati city council when he was 27 years old. He later ran for mayor of Cincinnati in 1977 and won. After an unsuccessful bid for the Governor of Ohio, he transitioned to television, creating a daytime talk show that eventually made him a household name across the nation.
