After parting ways with his former coach, Novak Djokovic has now reportedly turned towards former doubles specialist Nenad Zimonjić for guidance.
Last week, the World No.1 decided to let go of his relationship with his coach Goran Ivanisevic. This 4-year long partnership saw its end after the upset at the Indian Wells where Novak lost to a lucky loser.
And now, as the clay season starts, Novak has reportedly asked Nenad for his guidance. The two were spotted together at the training session prior to the Monte Carlo Open tournament.
While Djokovic was having his practice session with Holger Rune, Patrick Mouratoglou took it to Instagram and shared a group photo with Novak and Nenad in the frame along with Holger’s team.
After seeing the photo, speculations have been made that Nenad Zimonjic, who is also a former doubles champion is currently working as an acting coach for the World No. 1.
There have been reports that suggest that the two have come to an agreement and will collaborate at least for a trial period i.e. the upcoming Monte Carlo and a few more tournaments of the clay season.
Although Novak and Nenad have been spotted together sharing insights with each other, there has been no official confirmation or statement from either of the two.
Nenad is an 8-time Grand Slam Champion and a former World No. 1 in the doubles category of Tennis. He has won 5 mixed double slams and 3 Grand Slam doubles. Zimonjic also led his nation to victory in the year 2010 at the Davis Cup.
