Roger Federer recently revealed that all four of his children have started taking an interest in tennis, participating in camps and training sessions at renowned academies worldwide. Federer mentioned that his twin daughters have attended John McEnroe’s academy in East Hampton, while his twin sons have undergone training at Rafael Nadal’s academy in Mallorca.
Roger Federer who got married to Mirka Federer in 2009 is now a family of six, with two sets of identical twins. In 2009, the couple welcomed their twin daughters Charlene Federer and Myla Rose and in 2014, they welcomed their twin boys, Leo Federer and Lennart Federer.
In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, the Swiss maestro admitted he no longer actively plays tennis, except when playing with children. He mentioned occasionally picking up the racquet during vacations for fun with his friends.
“I don’t play tennis anymore, other than with the kids. As a former player, to book a court and get someone to hit with you is a process, so you end up not doing it. On vacation, I just played with our friends in the Hamptons. I’m not super competitive. It’s just nice to be out there and then sit on the terrace and let the sweat go a bit.”

He further expressed that all four of his kids were not big fans of the sport initially but now they love tennis. He stated that they have improved and started enjoying the sport and even play points now. He shared that his daughters trained at the John McEnroe Academy in East Hampton, while his sons attended Rafael Nadal’s academy in Mallorca for a camp.
“All four kids love it. The girls didn’t love it in the beginning but as they get better, they’re enjoying it and playing points now. They were up at [John] McEnroe Academy in East Hampton, and the boys were in Mallorca at the [Rafael Nadal] camp for a couple of days.”

In an interview with GQ, Federer shared his desire to support his kids, not as a coach, but as a father offering valuable tips.
“Because my children also play tennis, I am still on the court a lot and of course I want to support them. Not as a coach at all, but more as a dad who can give them very good tips.”
