During the Hall of Fame Class of 2023, Rey Mysterio was one of the legendary inductees and got emotional while delivering his hall of fame speech recounting his early days and hardships.
Rey Mysterio was inducted into the Hall of Fame class of 2023 last night following Smackdown along with the likes of Andy Kaufman, Stacy Keibler, The Great Muta, and Tim White.
The biggest little men headlined this year’s event despite being active wrestlers. Mysterio thanked his wife for playing a very vital role in his success and being an important part of his wrestling career.
He told about the time when he was not feeling good about his career and even had thoughts to give up, his wife encouraged him and motivated him to not give up and keep going on and never give up on himself and his dream. She even put her medical career aside and took a new job just to manage Rey’s expenses. As Rey talked about his wife, he teared up a bit and took a break in the middle.
He thanked each one of his fans who made his name immortal in this industry and for giving him a chance in the era of heavyweights and giants.
Rey Mysterio was an absolute gem of a wrestler as he made his way to the top defeating every other superstar of any size breaking the mold and forming into the superstar he is today.
Rey faces his son, Dominik at the grandest stage of WrestleMania this weekend which promises to be some battle as the build-up itself has been above the bar and the match is surely gonna deliver this weekend.
As the Hall of Famer looks to lace up his boots, he might have one of the best careers of all time and might even retire after the epic battle he is a part of this weekend against his son.
