One of the most anticipated matches at Qatar this FIFA World Cup. Some of us are saying is as a match of “Football vs Soccer”. A match everyone wanted to happen at some point.
Though England looks far better as compared to USA’s team and after England’s first match against Iran, it’s clear they wanted to bring that “It’s coming home” vibe back.
But ignoring USA’s capability would be wrong as we have seen some miracles already happen this World Cup, like Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia and Germany lost to Japan, so like Ronaldo said, “everything is possible in football”.
Match Preview:
Although Harry Kane is England’s primary attacker, the possibility that he would miss their second World Cup encounter against the United States wasn’t as serious as it once might have been.
In the team’s opening Group B match, a commanding 6-2 victory over Iran, English captain Kane limped off the field.
In that victory, Kane had contributed two assists, but he did not score, and England had plenty of options to score.
In a commanding first-half performance, Bukayo Saka scored either side of goals from Jude Bellingham and Raheem Sterling. Substitutes Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish then added goals after the break.
So USA have to look at non 11 players too as England’s team is balanced with experience and young talent.
On the other hand, American were not as dangerous but they drew their first match with Wales.
Matt Turner said: “I think one of the main things for us is we missed some opportunities in transition against Wales in the second half”.
“We had chances where we just weren’t particularly clean in the final third. Maybe a pass was a little off or the timing was wrong and it took away the small windows that you have in the World Cup, where the margins are so thin to score goals.”
“So, I think we know that we’re going to have to be better in transition against England if we want to score goals”.
So, I guess the boss explained his take, and the preparation they are doing for the match against England.
