Presented by the French sports news magazine France Football, the Balon d’Or award is one of the prestigious honors in the footballing world. Honoring the best player of the year, Balon d’Or is the highest level of honor for any footballer.
The latest edition of the award was presented to Lionel Messi for his exceptional performance in the respective year. However the award this year will see the end of Messi era as the Argentine was notnominated for the award for the first time since 2005.
The Ballon d’Or 2022 will be presented to the best player for the 2021-22 season rather than the calendar year as done prior to this. Which makes Karim Bernzema as one of the favorites in the list and highly likely to be awarded with the award.

When is the Balon d’Or 2022?
The Balon d’Or 2022 award ceremony will be hosted in Theatre du Chatelet in Paris starting on 8:30 pm on 17th October 2022. The ranking reveal commences from 4:30 pm the same day and at 7:50 pm we see all the footballers and celebrities walk into the auditorium.

How to watch Balon d’Or live stream?
The award ceremony will be live streamed on L’Equipe’s YouTube channel and their official website for most of the regions. In Australlia, SBS will handle the live streaming and in USA, Paramount+ will take care of it. In the Indian subcontinet, the telecast will be broadcast on SONY TEN 2 channel.
