Why is The Undertaker called "The Deadman"?

The Undertaker is without a doubt one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time with over 4 World Title wins.

Inducted in the Hall of Fame in the class of 2022, he is also more profoundly referred to as The Deadman.

In his early phases with WWE, Undertaker wrestled under this mysterious character called "The Deadman" who would never lose a match and had a dark aura surrounding him.

Undertaker was buried alive by his brother Kane and Vince McMahon during a Buried Alive matchup.

However, the fans loved the character and wanted him back. This is when The Undertaker rose from the depths of hell and defeated Kane in WrestleMania XX.

The Undertaker has come back from the grasp of death on multiple occasions and hence his name "The Deadman."
