Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, leaves Manchester United, effective immediately from 22nd November 2022.
The club officially announced the termination of Ronaldo's contract on the social media platforms.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect," the statement read.
"The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford,"
"scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future," they added.
"I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change. However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge," Ronaldo stated.
"I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future," Ronaldo added.
The rift between the two parties started taking form after Ronaldo's explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo said he felt 'betrayed' and did not like the way the club was treating him.
