CM was the title holder from November 2011 to January 2013. Afterwards, he lost the title against The Rock. Punk defended his title against Superstars such as John Cena and Randy Orton during his title reign.

Highly Underrated Latino wrestler Pedro Morales has accomplished a lot in the business. He also had a lengthy title reign of nearly three years from February 1971 to December 1973.

After losing the title in 1971, Bruno Sammartino clinched the title again in December 1973 and went on to carry it until April 1977. And interestingly it was his only second title reign.

Another majestic spell was done by Bob Backlund. He was utterly an unlikely candidate for the prize initially. But after defeating Greg Valentine in 1981, he grasped the title for a sum of six huge years.

Bruno Sammartino initially won his world championship at a May 1963 house show and no one was able to take it away from him until January 1971. And most probably, anything like that will never happen in WWE again.
