WNBA star Brittney Griner released after US-Russia prisoner exchange

2014 WNBA Champion Brittney Griner is one of the best centers in the league.

Griner was arrested by the Russian officials at the Moscow Airport.

She was charged for illegally carrying vape cannisters with cannabis oil.

She pleaded guilty in July and underwent a trial under Russian jurisdiction.

Russian government denied the release of WNBA star Griner.

The Russian and U.S government finally came to an agreement and are ready for a prisoner swap.

The U.S will release Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout in exchange for their WNBA star Brittney Griner.
